Being a Memeber of The OVFD
Junior Member
To become a Junior member of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department you have to live around the area of Oakland, Maryland. Also you have to be the age sixteen to join and be a junior a member. Junior members are not permitted inside a danger zone. Junior members help at fire scenes by retrieving equipment for regular members and assist with overhaul after the scene is under control. You are voted by the members at the monthly meeting to be a junior member in the department.

To be a full time member of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department You have to be age of 18, and live within Oakland. For this to happen you will be voted on by the members of the department at the monthly meeting.
